If you fancy something stronger...

The most interesting, and oldest pub in Leeds is Whitelock's - down one of the alleys off Briggate called Turk's Head Yard (just up from Marks and Spencer's). It has a beautiful ornate interior with etched mirrors, tiles and brasswork, and was the favourite meeting place of Leeds' artistic and literary community.
Traditional Yorkshire pub food is served in the bar (12-5.00pm) or the restaurant (12-3.00pm).Whitelock's was awarded the 100th 'Leeds Civic Trust Blue Plaque' for historical importance in 2006.
